Within Vulnerabilities

A set of 25 cards highlighting vulnerabilities in the context of COVID-19, focusing on demographics and data from the St. Louis area. Some topics addressed include age, wealth, transportation, increased risk due to preexisting conditions, and safety tips.







Process

I examined data from the official St. Louis City data regarding demographics and COVID-19 statistcs to identify patterns of interest. For some data, it was especially difficult to create an image that is understandable without needing the caption. I tried to use recurring imagery to tell a cohesive narrative, like using dashed lines as a symbol of lowered defense.
